Ground-source heat pumps-free energy stored below the groud |
Heliotherm’s ground-source heat pumps run on three different systems:

|
- Ground-source heat pump
with ground-surface collectors (direct evaporation)
Energy is produced using collector loops that are buried in the ground. The system boasts low procurement costs and a COP of up to 5.6. This corresponds to 82% free energy from your own garden.

- Ground-source heat pump
with CO2 ground probe
Energy is produced using copper pipe probes filled with CO2, which are buried in the ground. This system is environmentally friendly (suitable for water protection areas) and has a COP of up to 5.0.
This corresponds to 80% free energy from your own garden.

- Ground-source heat pump
with brine probe
Probe pipes filled with a brine solution (water and antifreeze) are buried in the ground and act as a heat transfer medium. Available as a horizontal or vertical system.
