 Heat pumps in Tyrol – strengths, possible areas of use and potentialsA Heat Pump Day was held on Thursday 8 May 2008 at the Centre for Renewable Energy in Schwaz, Tyrol, in collaboration with klima:aktiv, the Tiroler Zukunftsstiftung (Tyrolean Future Foundation) and heat pump manufacturers IDM and Heliotherm Wärmepumpentechnik. More than 100 interested residential property developers, architects, electric companies and installers gained an insight into the heat pump scene in Austria’s Tyrol region and enjoyed fascinating presentations on the present and future of efficient heat pump technology. The study tour that followed took the visitors to view two Heliotherm reference properties in Schwaz, which made a great impression and provoked constructive discussions on the subject of heat pumps.
